Gaming App UI

For this project, I was tasked with designing a vintage-inspired baseball app. The process started on paper, drawing low-fidelity wire-frames based on the verbal requirements from the developer. From there, I moved my sketches into Sketch, where I began iterating with composition, color and typography.

For this project, I was asked to design a web and mobile e-commerce experience. It needed to feature both seller and buyer accounts and a number of input screens. I started with wire-frames (using Balsamiq) to ensure the concept met all of the requirements. From there, I began some branding exercises and developed a color palette and icon set to be used in the final Sketch mockups.

Motivote App Design

I was approached by Jess at Motivote to help prepare some screens for their gamified voting app. I loved the idea and immediately hopped on a call with Jess to determine the scope of the initial project. There wasn’t a clear user journey defined, nor were there wire-frames, so I began on paper, sketching out both. Once we had determined what the overall user journey would look like, we prioritized the screens we wanted to design, which are pictured here. The team did have an idea of the visual style: they knew their brand needed to be fun and happy, so they requested the use of warm colors. I selected blue as a complementary call-to-action color because I wanted something that would have eye-catching contrast. From here, I began mocking up the screens in Sketch, creating a symbol and style library for future use. I rounded out the project by importing the native files into Adobe XD, where I created an interactive prototype for the team to use during investor presentations.

This project was inspired by a contest by AdobeXD to create an error page–404, storage full, you name it. I went down the proverbial “page not found” route and combined it with some playful illustration to create this design. Process began on paper, moved to Illustrator, and finished up in Sketch.

HelpOne | App Design

This app was inspired by the theme #1, from the Philadelphia Adobe Creative Jam. (App idea goes to my husband, Michael Kofman.) Unfortunately, during the competition, I discovered that I do not perform well under stress, so I decided to redesign the app over the course of a few days. We began with wireframe sketches to map out the user journey before moving into Adobe XD to create a higher-fidelity prototype. Assets were created using a combination of Illustrator and Photoshop.

App ConceptThis is a hypothetical design project completed for a time travel app. I began the process with pencil-and-paper wireframes. From here, I actually moved away from the UI to design the logo and color palette, ensuring that the app had cohesive branding. Next, I fleshed out my wireframes in Sketch before uploading them to InVision to create an interactive prototype.

In-House Design Work for IT Training Company

All work shown here was completed while working as an in-house designer for a global IT training company. My work spanned print and web, although a large portion of my projects were UX-related and involved optimizing pages for conversion. Homepage Redesign: After running some analytics, we found that users were not scrolling beyond “the fold” to see our promotion content blocks that were lower down the page. To remedy this, we added links in our redesigned, on-brand header that linked farther down the page. Postcard Design: These postcards were designed for a technology conference to encourage attendees to register for a trial version of a new program. Business Cards: I regularly created business cards for employees, adjusting for proper bleeds and color settings. Brochure Design: This brochure was created specifically for our India team to help prepare for a local conference.
